
Man Dies After Entering Notting Hill Canal During Carnival
A man has died following an incident where he entered a canal near the Notting Hill Carnival. Emergency services were called to the scene at the junction of Harrow Road and Great Western Road at approximately 01:25 BST on Monday.
Metropolitan Police officers and the London Ambulance Service attended after reports of a man in the water. He was retrieved from the canal and transported to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased shortly afterwards.
Authorities have stated that enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the man's death are ongoing. His next of kin have been informed.
Notting Hill Carnival, Europe's largest street festival, took place over the August bank holiday weekend, attracting hundreds of thousands of attendees to West London.
