Neasden Industrial Estate Fire Halts London Underground and Overground Services
A large fire at a waste facility in Neasden, North-West London, has caused significant disruption to public transport services. The incident, located on the Neasden industrial estate, necessitated the deployment of 125 firefighters and 20 fire engines from the London Fire Brigade (LFB).
Transport Disruption
As a direct consequence of the blaze, both the Jubilee Tube line and the London Overground have implemented closures in the affected area. Transport for London confirmed that the Jubilee line is suspended between Willesden Green and Stanmore, while the Overground is not running between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction. Commuters have been advised to seek alternative routes.
Fire crews are actively engaged in controlling the conflagration, which reportedly involves a single-storey waste transfer station. Details regarding the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage remain under investigation. Emergency services are working to contain the situation and restore normal transport operations as quickly as possible.
