Nigel Farage States He 'Wasn't Listening' During Undercover Foreign Donor Discussion
Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, has addressed a report detailing his engagement with a purported foreign donor during an undercover filming operation. Farage claims he was 'wasn't listening' to the specifics of the conversation at the time.
The exchange, reportedly with an individual posing as a representative for a foreign entity, explored the possibility of a significant financial contribution, potentially $10 million, to Farage. This sum was allegedly intended to support his political endeavours, including campaigning and media activities. Farage has maintained that such discussions are routine for prominent political figures and that no illicit agreement was reached.
Separately, Farage revealed the personal toll of his political career, stating that his family members are 'begging' him to withdraw from public life. He attributed this pressure to the constant scrutiny and demands associated with his position.
