Pedestrian Dies After Collision With Multiple Vehicles, Including Police Car, in Mid Wales

A fatal road incident in Newtown, Powys, has resulted in the death of a pedestrian. The individual was involved in a collision with multiple vehicles, including a police car, on the A483 near the Cedewain outreach centre shortly after 01:00 BST.

Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed the pedestrian's death at the scene and has initiated an internal referral to the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) as is standard procedure for incidents involving police vehicles.

The force has appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
