
Pilot Dies in East Yorkshire Light Aircraft Crash Near Burstwick Airfield
A pilot has died following a light aircraft crash in a field close to Burstwick Airfield in East Yorkshire. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene on Thursday evening after reports of the incident.
Humberside Police confirmed that the pilot, believed to be a woman in her 40s, was pronounced deceased at the location. No other individuals were involved in the crash, and the aircraft was the sole party affected.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the crash. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) will lead the inquiry, examining the wreckage and the flight path to determine the cause of the fatal incident. A police cordon remains in place around the crash site.
