Police Launch Murder Inquiry After Body Found in Search for Missing 14-Year-Old Lilly

Hampshire Police have initiated a murder inquiry after a body was found in the search for a missing 14-year-old girl, Lilly. She was reported missing from her home in Hampshire on Saturday, 11th May.

Officers located the body on Sunday evening. While formal identification is yet to take place, authorities believe it to be Lilly.

A 31-year-old man, previously arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, remains in custody. He was detained shortly after Lilly was reported missing.

Forensic teams are conducting examinations at the scene. Authorities have stated that Lilly's family has been informed of the discovery and are being supported by specialist officers during this period.
