Rachel Jupp Appointed Director of News, Bringing Extensive Editorial Background

Rachel Jupp has been appointed as the new Director of News. Her extensive career includes significant editorial roles, notably as the former deputy editor of Newsnight on BBC Two, a flagship current affairs programme known for its in-depth investigations and political analysis.

Jupp also served as the editor for Panorama, the long-running investigative documentary series. This experience positions her at the helm of news operations, overseeing strategic direction and content delivery for one of the UK's largest newsgathering bodies.

Her appointment comes at a time of considerable scrutiny for news organisations, particularly regarding editorial independence and impartiality. Jupp's background in programmes with a strong journalistic tradition suggests a continuation of rigorous reporting standards.
