Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs) representing Reform Scotland abandoned a parliamentary session earlier today, protesting a debate concerning a potential Scottish independence referendum.

The walkout occurred during deliberations initiated by the Scottish National Party (SNP), which has consistently prioritised a second independence ballot. Reform Scotland, a party with a negligible presence in Holyrood, publicly denounced the debate.

Malcolm Offord, the leader of Reform Scotland in the devolved parliament, stated that the discussion represented an 'insult' to the electorate and a 'waste of parliamentary time'. He further argued that the focus on a referendum diverted attention and resources from more pressing issues facing Scotland's populace.
