Russell Brand Accuser Described Alleged Rape as 'Really Hurtful', Court Hears
A woman who alleges she was raped by Russell Brand told a friend that the assault was 'quite aggressive' and 'really hurt', Chelmsford Crown Court heard today. The witness relayed this account during proceedings related to separate sexual offence charges against Brand.
The court was informed that the complainant described the alleged rape as 'quick' and 'unpleasant'. She reportedly confided in her friend shortly after the incident, stating, 'I have just been raped by Russell Brand.' The witness recounted her friend's distress, noting that she appeared 'shocked and upset' and was 'crying, but not sobbing'.
Brand, 49, stands accused of two counts of rape, one count of sexual assault, and two counts of indecent assault relating to four different women between 2006 and 2013. He has consistently denied all allegations.
The friend further testified that the complainant said Brand 'never said anything' during the alleged assault. The trial continues, scrutinising the various accounts presented against the backdrop of these serious accusations.
