Six-Year-Old Girl Dies, Another Child Injured in A12 Essex Road Collision

A six-year-old girl has died following a road traffic collision on the A12 in Marks Tey, Essex, near the Colchester United Football Club training ground. The incident, which occurred just after 14:00 BST on Saturday, involved a single vehicle.

Police Investigation Underway

Essex Police confirmed that specialist officers are providing support to the girl's family during this period. Another child sustained injuries in the crash, though details regarding their condition have not been released.

The A12 was closed for several hours between junctions 26 and 27 while emergency services attended the scene and investigators commenced their work.
