
Stockport Police Arrest Woman After 14-Week-Old Baby Girl Dies
A 36-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect after a 14-week-old baby girl died in Stockport. Greater Manchester Police confirmed the arrest and stated the woman remains in custody for questioning.
Emergency services were dispatched to an address in North Reddish at approximately 10:50 BST on Saturday, following a report regarding a child's welfare. The infant was subsequently transported to hospital on Sunday, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Police officials stated they are maintaining an open mind and pursuing all available lines of enquiry. A police scene remains in place as the investigation, currently in its initial stages, continues.
