Teenager Charged with Murder of 61-Year-Old Man in Dungannon House

A 16-year-old boy has been formally charged with murder following the death of a 61-year-old man in Dungannon, County Tyrone. The teenager appeared before Enniskillen Youth Court on Monday, where he was also charged with the grievous bodily harm of an eight-year-old girl and possession of an offensive weapon.

The deceased and the injured child were found at a house in the McCaughey Road area of Dungannon on Saturday morning. Emergency services were called to the property after reports of a serious incident.

Detectives have not released the names of the victim or the injured child. The 16-year-old defendant was remanded into custody, with his next court appearance scheduled for a later date.
