
Three Charged with Murder After Peter Phillips Shot Dead in Eston
Three people have faced Teesside Crown Court charged with the murder of Peter Phillips, who was discovered deceased following a shooting incident.
Mr Phillips, 47, was found at Ayton Crescent in Eston, near Middlesbrough, on Saturday evening at approximately 23:00 BST. Cleveland Police confirmed he sustained a single gunshot wound, which proved fatal.
Tony Gaffney, 39, of Ambrose Road, Middlesbrough, and Jonathon Spencer, 39, of Normanby Road, Middlesbrough, appeared alongside Annaliese McQuilling, 38, of Ayton Crescent, Eston. During their court appearance on Friday, no pleas were entered regarding the charges.
A trial, projected to last up to three weeks, has been scheduled to commence on 25 January 2027. All three accused have been remanded into custody and are due to reappear in court on 27 July for a plea hearing.
