Tommy Robinson Admits Error in False Accusation Against Quoroum Beg in Glasgow
Tommy Robinson, identified as Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, has conceded his error regarding Quoroum Beg, whom he had publicly accused of filming children. Mr Robinson stated on social media that he 'got it wrong' concerning Mr Beg.
The incident occurred in Glasgow, where Mr Beg was filming an anti-immigration demonstration. Earlier, the protest had compelled Mr Beg and his children to leave a local park.
Mr Robinson's initial video, widely circulated, depicted Mr Beg and falsely asserted he was filming children. Following the broadcast of Mr Robinson's video, Mr Beg reported receiving threats, leading to a police investigation into the matter.
Mr Beg confirmed he had been filming the demonstration, explaining that he had moved his children away from the protest due to its nature. He further clarified that he was documenting the events for personal records, not to film children.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland indicated that inquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
