
Two Children Die in Wolverhampton House Fire on Friday Evening
West Midlands Police are investigating the deaths of two young children following a house fire in Wolverhampton on Friday evening. Officers, alongside West Midlands Fire Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service, were called to Mason Street at approximately 20:30 BST.
Firefighters entered the property and retrieved two young children, who were subsequently pronounced dead at the scene despite immediate emergency care from firefighters and advanced life support efforts from paramedics.
Two additional children and a woman had evacuated the house prior to the arrival of emergency services. They received checks from ambulance staff but did not require hospital treatment.
A police cordon remains in place at the extensively damaged property as officers work to ascertain the precise circumstances of the fire.
