Western Europe is enduring exceptional early-season heat, with numerous national and regional temperature records being significantly surpassed. The UK registered temperatures exceeding 35C on Tuesday, more than 2C above its previous May record. This level of heat would be considered extraordinary even in the peak of summer, according to meteorological experts.
