Ms Slater had scammed 11 people by offering non-existent tickets and VIP box access for Oasis concerts at Wembley via WhatsApp in May. The total sum defrauded amounted to ","4,000.
Court Proceedings and Victim Impact
During proceedings at North Staffordshire Justice Centre, it was revealed that Ms Slater had initially claimed good intentions but the scheme “escalated out of her control”. Despite the substantial sum involved, some victims have reportedly secured refunds. He refuted any evidence of coercion, concluding that she acted “purely out of greed, exploiting her connections for personal gain.” The fraudulent activity caused significant distress and anger among those affected, particularly as some victims were unknowingly used to attract further victims.
In addition to the fine and community order, Ms Slater was directed to pay ","776.98 in compensation to five of her victims.
