Royal British Legion Tandragee Branch Diverted £99,000 Veterans' Loneliness Funds to Building Works
Almost £100,000 of public funds allocated for veteran support activities, such as craft and social meals, was instead used to refurbish a Royal British Legion branch building in Tandragee, County Armagh. An internal investigation by the RBL found that only £41,000 of £140,000 in grants was spent on approved projects, with the remainder used for property upgrades.
