Navi Pillay Labels US Sanctions Against International Criminal Court 'Unacceptable'
Former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay, has strongly condemned the US sanctions imposed on International Criminal Court (ICC) officials. Pillay described the Trump administration's measures as 'unheard of', asserting that such penalties obstruct the pursuit of justice for victims of grave international crimes. The sanctions targeted senior ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda and another high-ranking official, Phakiso Mochochoko, following the court's investigation into alleged US war crimes in Afghanistan.
