17-Year-Old Girl Dies Following Medical Episode at Kendal Calling Festival

A 17-year-old girl tragically died after suffering a medical episode at the Kendal Calling festival. Emergency services were called to the event at Lowther Deer Park in Cumbria on Saturday, 27 July.

Despite immediate medical attention, the teenager was pronounced deceased at the scene. Cumbria Police confirmed the death, stating that enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances.

A spokesperson for the police force indicated that the death is not currently being treated as suspicious. Authorities are providing support to the girl's family during this difficult time.

Kendal Calling, an annual music and arts festival, typically attracts tens of thousands of attendees to the Lake District site.
