
Adam Olverson Accused of Manslaughter in Father Thomas's Norfolk Shooting Death
Norfolk Police have charged Adam Olverson, 31, with the manslaughter of his father, Thomas Olverson, aged 75. The charge follows an incident at a rural property in Shouldham Thorpe, near Downham Market, where Thomas Olverson died from a gunshot wound.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Tuesday morning at approximately 08:00 BST. Despite their efforts, Thomas Olverson was pronounced dead at the property.
Adam Olverson, of Shouldham Thorpe, was taken into custody and has since been formally charged. He appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court today and has been remanded in custody. The case is now set to proceed to Norwich Crown Court on Tuesday, 2nd July.
Police have confirmed that the victim and the accused were known to each other, characterising the incident as isolated. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
