Afghan Boxer Sharif Ahmadzai Appears in Greek Court Over Scottish Woman's Death

Sharif Ahmadzai, 26, presented himself to a prosecutor on the Greek island of Rhodes following his arrest in connection with the death of Elisabeth Jane Ross. Ms Ross, 62, from Edinburgh, was discovered deceased in her hotel room on Sunday, 26 May. Mr Ahmadzai, described as a professional boxer, was apprehended after hotel staff reviewed CCTV footage.

Reports from Greek media indicate Mr Ahmadzai was seen entering Ms Ross's hotel room late on Saturday evening and leaving approximately 90 minutes later. He was subsequently arrested on Monday evening. Authorities are yet to release further details on the precise charges he faces, with the investigation continuing.
