Apple Reports Record $111 Billion Sales, iPhone Demand Surges 28% in China
Apple posted its financial results for the first three months of the year, reporting a 17% increase in overall product sales, reaching USD#111 billion compared to the same period a year prior.
Demand for the iPhone has been described as "extraordinary" by outgoing chief executive Tim Cook, contributing to a new sales record for the quarter. Notably, sales in China outpaced all other regions, recording a 28% rise.
While iPhone sales surged, other Apple product lines, including Mac computers and wearable devices such as the Apple Watch and AirPods, showed relatively flat sales performance during the period.
