Baxters Recalls Cullen Skink Soup After Fault Prompts Swelling and Rupture Risk
Baxters Food Group has issued a recall for a particular batch of its Cullen Skink condensed soup. The action follows the discovery of a manufacturing fault that could lead to the spoilage of the product, causing the cans to swell and, in some instances, rupture.
The affected product is the 400g can of Baxters Cullen Skink, specifically lot number B230 with a best before end date of October 2026. Consumers are advised not to consume the soup if they possess a can from this batch.
Baxters has stated that the manufacturing defect compromises the integrity of the cans, creating an environment where the soup could spoil and build pressure internally. The company has urged customers to return the recalled product to the point of purchase for a full refund.
