Azerbaijan Pardons French National Martin Ryan; Second Frenchman Remains Detained
Azerbaijan has issued a pardon for French citizen Martin Ryan, who was sentenced to ten years in prison in February after being convicted of espionage. However, the situation for Bernard Chaix, another French citizen arrested alongside Ryan and similarly accused of espionage, remains unchanged. Chaix, who received a five-year sentence, continues to be detained in Azerbaijan.
