Boeing 767-300 Overshoots Miami Runway, Five Killed in Cargo Plane Crash

A Boeing 767-300 cargo aircraft, operating for Amazon, has crashed at Miami International Airport, claiming the lives of five individuals. Five others sustained serious injuries when the plane overran the runway during its landing sequence. Recovery teams have successfully located and secured the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder, which are now critical to understanding the circumstances of the incident.

The aircraft, arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico, reportedly failed to stop within the designated runway length, leading to a catastrophic impact with an airport perimeter fence and several structures. Aviation authorities have commenced a detailed investigation into the crash, focusing on potential mechanical failures, pilot actions, and environmental factors that may have contributed to the runway excursion.

Initial reports indicate the aircraft, a converted passenger jet, was carrying a substantial cargo load, though details regarding its specific contents have not been released. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will lead the inquiry, examining all available evidence to determine the precise chain of events culminating in the fatal crash.
