British Hiker's Body Recovered After Musa Ka Musala Descent in Pakistan

The body of a British trekker, missing since Saturday, has been located and recovered in Pakistan. The 30-year-old man, from Birmingham, disappeared while descending Musa Ka Musala, a mountain located in the Mansehra District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Local authorities, alongside volunteer rescue teams, initiated a search operation after the trekker failed to return from his expedition. His remains were discovered on Tuesday, confirming the worst fears of his family and the rescue personnel involved.

Musa Ka Musala, standing at 4,080 metres (13,390 feet), is a challenging peak known for its variable weather conditions and treacherous terrain, particularly during descent. Details regarding the specific circumstances of his death have not yet been released by Pakistani officials. The British High Commission in Islamabad has been informed and is providing consular assistance to the man's family.
