Cleveland Police Receive £2 Million Boost for Serious Crime Following A66 Crash

Cleveland Police will receive an extra £2 million from the Home Office, earmarked for tackling serious and organised crime within the force's jurisdiction. The announcement by the Home Secretary comes in the aftermath of a devastating triple-fatal collision on the A66 near Middlesbrough.

Three individuals, including a six-year-old child, lost their lives in the collision on 20 May. Police confirmed that two men have been arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail while enquiries continue.
