
Danube's Record Low Levels Halt Hungary's Paks Nuclear Power Plant Operations
Hungary's only nuclear power plant, Paks, has been forced to shut down its operations, a direct consequence of record-low water levels in the Danube River. The plant relies on the Danube for its critical cooling systems, which can no longer function effectively given the river's current state.
