Duane Davis Faces Murder Charge Over 1996 Tupac Shakur Killing in Las Vegas
A grand jury in Nevada has indicted Duane 'Keffe D' Davis on a murder charge relating to the 1996 shooting of Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas. This development arrives nearly three decades after the iconic rapper was gunned down, a case that has remained unsolved despite widespread public interest and numerous theories.
Davis, identified as a former leader of the South Side Compton Crips, was apprehended on Friday morning. Law enforcement officials had previously raided his home in Henderson, Nevada, in July, seizing evidence pertinent to the investigation. Court documents and police statements indicate that Davis had openly discussed his involvement in the events surrounding Shakur's death in interviews and a memoir, claiming to have been in the Cadillac from which the fatal shots were fired.

The shooting occurred shortly after a Mike Tyson boxing match on the Las Vegas Strip, following an altercation involving Shakur and members of Davis's gang.
