Duke and Duchess of Sussex Meet Bondi Shooting Survivors Amidst Australian Tour
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, on the fourth day of their Australian visit, have held discussions with survivors and emergency personnel following the Bondi Beach attack. The December incident, which occurred at a Hannukah event, resulted in 15 fatalities and 40 injuries.
At Bondi Surf Bathers' Life Saving Club, the couple met Jessica Chapnik Khan and Elon Zizer, who survived the shootings while shielding their children. Volunteer lifeguards, lauded for their protective actions during the attack, also conversed with the pair. Representatives from the Sydney Jewish Museum, which is preparing an exhibition on the attack, described the visit as "really special."
