EasyJet Flight Returns to Tenerife Following Mid-Air Brawl Involving Ten Passengers

An easyJet flight from Tenerife South to Liverpool was compelled to return to its departure airport on Monday night after a violent disturbance involving multiple passengers. Air traffic control confirmed the decision was made due to a 'fight on board' involving around ten individuals.

Flight EZY3364, which departed at 21:30 local time, had been airborne for less than an hour when the pilot decided to turn back. An easyJet spokesperson stated that the flight returned 'due to a group of passengers behaving disruptively on board'. The airline confirmed that the aircraft was met by local police upon arrival in Tenerife and that the passengers involved were removed from the flight.

Reports from passengers on social media described a 'huge fight' involving 'at least ten people'. One passenger detailed the incident as a 'mass brawl', adding that 'children were crying and being sick'. The flight was subsequently cancelled. Affected passengers were offered hotel accommodation and were advised of new flight arrangements for Tuesday.

EasyJet reiterated its 'zero tolerance policy to disruptive behaviour' and apologised to those whose travel plans were disrupted by the incident. It remains unclear whether any arrests were made by Spanish authorities.
