Putney Bridge Bus Incident Suspect Nicholas Brandram Found Dead at Residence
Nicholas Brandram, 56, a man previously named in connection with the 2017 Putney Bridge bus incident, was discovered deceased at his residence on Thursday. Metropolitan Police confirmed his death is not being treated as suspicious.
Brandram had been publicly identified as a suspect in the widely reported event where a woman was shoved from the pavement into the road, narrowly avoiding a double-decker bus. The victim sustained minor injuries in the incident, which garnered significant media attention due to the dramatic CCTV footage released at the time.
Despite the high-profile nature of the case, no arrests were made in the immediate aftermath of the event. Detectives subsequently investigated several individuals, with Brandram later emerging as a person of interest. The investigation into the 2017 incident remains open, although the discovery of Brandram's body introduces a new dimension to the protracted inquiry.
