
Fatal Collision in Flitwick: Two Arrested After Teenage Boy Killed
A man and a woman, both in their twenties, have been taken into custody following a fatal road traffic collision in Flitwick, Bedfordshire, on Friday evening. The incident, which occurred on Greenfield Road at approximately 23:50 BST, involved a vehicle and three teenage boys, two of whom were cycling and one on a scooter.
Investigation Underway
One of the teenage boys was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other boys sustained serious injuries and were subsequently transported to hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle reportedly left the scene following the collision. However, a blue BMW with significant damage was later discovered on a nearby street.
The arrested individuals face charges including causing death by dangerous driving, driving over the prescribed limit for alcohol, and driving above the specified limit of a controlled drug.
Detective Sergeant Shona Searle, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Serious Collision Investigation Unit, extended her condolences, stating: “First and foremost our thoughts are with the family of the boy who has lost his life in this incident, as well as the families of the two other boys who were injured.”
