Foreign Object Strikes Ryanair Boeing, Passenger Partially Sucked Through Cabin Window

A Ryanair Boeing 737-800 en route from Stansted to Dubrovnik experienced a catastrophic cabin window failure at 36,000 feet, leading to a rapid depressurisation. Investigations are centring on the possibility of a foreign object striking the aircraft, causing the window to shatter.

Passenger Ljubisa Karović, seated adjacent to the affected window, was reportedly partially sucked out of the aircraft during the incident. Eyewitnesses described a harrowing scene as fellow passengers and cabin crew struggled to pull him back inside. Mr Karović suffered extensive injuries, including multiple fractures and severe lacerations, and remains in a critical but stable condition.

The flight, carrying 189 passengers and six crew, was diverted to Frankfurt-Hahn Airport following the incident. All passengers were subsequently transferred to another aircraft to complete their journey. Aviation safety authorities have commenced a full investigation into the structural integrity of the window and the potential source of any foreign object impact.
