
Four Hospitalised After Brixton Shooting, 25-Year-Old Man Critical on Coldharbour Lane
Four people were taken to hospital after a shooting on Coldharbour Lane in Brixton, south London, during the early hours of Saturday.
Metropolitan Police officers responded to reports of a firearm discharge. A 25-year-old man is currently in a life-threatening condition. Three other individuals, aged 21, 47, and 70, also sustained injuries and were transported to hospital.
Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, leading the investigation, characterised the event as an "act of indiscriminate violence." Bhangoo stated that officers are working to identify those responsible and an increased police presence is anticipated in the area. Authorities have appealed for anyone with information to assist the ongoing inquiry.
