Germany Raids Smuggling Operations, Seizes Dinghies and Life Jackets
German authorities have initiated their first enforcement actions under recently enacted anti-smuggling legislation, conducting raids across multiple states. Law enforcement operations targeted individuals suspected of orchestrating the clandestine transport of migrants into the country. The coordinated police actions focused on dismantling networks involved in the illegal trafficking of people, a stated priority for the German government.
During the raids, officers confiscated numerous dinghies and life jackets, equipment commonly utilised by smugglers to transport individuals across borders, often via perilous routes.
