The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has pinpointed the origin of recent cyclosporiasis infections. Iceberg lettuce, provided by Taylor Farms, has been identified as the causative agent. This contaminated produce was distributed to both Taco Bell and Walmart retail outlets.

Investigations have concluded that the specific batch of iceberg lettuce led to multiple cases of explosive diarrhoea across various US states. This identification follows a period of public health scrutiny into the source of the parasitic infections, which can cause severe gastrointestinal distress.
