Jagger Strang Jailed for Three Years Eight Months Over University Bomb Threat
An 18-year-old man, Jagger Strang, has been sentenced to three years and eight months in prison after making a bomb threat targeting Abertay University in Dundee.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard that Strang, who was a student at the institution, had developed a disturbing fascination with serial killers. This included an expressed admiration for Adam Lanza, the individual responsible for the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in the United States, which resulted in the deaths of 20 children and six adults.
Strang's threat caused significant disruption and concern within the university community. The court proceedings detailed the extent of his dangerous fixations, which culminated in the bomb threat incident.
The sentencing underscores the serious legal consequences for such threats, particularly in a climate where such acts are treated with extreme gravity by law enforcement and judicial systems.
