Joshua Kerry Charged with Murder of Ann Widdecombe, Appears in Westminster Magistrates' Court

Joshua Kerry, 32, from South Yorkshire, has been formally charged with the murder of Ann Widdecombe. He appeared before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

Ms Widdecombe, 76, was discovered deceased at a hotel in central London on Friday. Emergency services were called to the establishment on Thursday evening after concerns for her welfare were raised.

Mr Kerry was apprehended on Saturday and subsequently charged on Monday, 30 September. Details surrounding the alleged motive or the circumstances leading to Ms Widdecombe's death have not been released by authorities.

The Metropolitan Police continue their investigation into the incident.
