Karnell Kelly, 25, Dies After Entering Grand Union Canal Near Notting Hill Carnival

Karnell Kelly, 25, died in hospital following an incident where he entered the Grand Union Canal near Kensal Road in west London. The event took place during the period of the Notting Hill Carnival.

Emergency services recovered Mr Kelly from the water, and he was subsequently transported to hospital, where he later passed away. The Metropolitan Police have confirmed his identity.

Detectives from the Met's West Area CID are leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mr Kelly's death. The police have not released further details regarding how Mr Kelly came to be in the canal, but enquiries are ongoing.
