Kiran Kaur Jailed for Concealing Murder Weapon After Son Stabbed Henry Nowak

Kiran Kaur, 46, has been jailed for two years after confessing to perverting the course of justice. Her son, Gurjot Singh, 18, stabbed Henry Nowak, also 18, to death in Ealing, West London, in October 2022. Singh was handed a life sentence with a minimum term of 18 years in June 2023.

Isleworth Crown Court heard that following the murder, Kaur attended the crime scene and removed the knife Singh had used to inflict the fatal injury. CCTV footage showed Kaur arriving at the scene, entering a police cordon, and taking the weapon, which she then concealed.

Police investigators recovered the weapon from a rubbish bin near the incident location within hours. The court was told Kaur's actions demonstrated a deliberate attempt to obstruct the police investigation into the killing of Henry Nowak, whose life was tragically cut short.
