
Leicestershire Couple Ketan and Sheetal Swali Die in Gwynedd Plane Crash
A Leicestershire couple, Ketan Swali and his wife Sheetal Swali, were pronounced dead at the scene after their light aircraft crashed in Gwynedd, Wales. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon near the village of Llanbedr, prompting a significant emergency services response.
Mr. Swali was a member of the Leicestershire Aero Club, which has expressed profound sorrow at the loss of a "very popular" and "highly respected" member. He had been flying for over a decade, and the club's chief flying instructor described the couple as a "lovely pair."
Emergency services, including police, ambulance crews, and fire and rescue personnel, were dispatched to the crash site. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has launched an inquiry to determine the cause of the crash. A full report is expected to be published upon the conclusion of their investigation.
