
Lewis Hawkes Charged with Five Attempted Murders in Edinburgh Anti-Muslim Attacks
Lewis Hawkes, 36, has been charged with five counts of attempted murder connected to terrorism, following alleged anti-Muslim attacks in Edinburgh. Five people sustained injuries at various locations across the city on Friday night.
Mr Hawkes also faces charges of assault and robbery, breach of the peace, and culpable and reckless conduct. He appeared in private at Edinburgh Sheriff Court, where he made no plea. He has been remanded in custody.
