
Lincolnshire Police Conduct Search Operation for Missing 15-Year-Old at Swanholme Lakes
A large-scale search operation is under way at Swanholme Lakes, Lincoln, following the disappearance of a 15-year-old boy on Sunday afternoon. Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 14:30 BST after reports indicated a boy was experiencing difficulty in the lake.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police confirmed that, despite extensive efforts from individuals present at the lake and responding emergency services, the boy has not yet been located. The police's Under Water Search Team has joined the ongoing operation.
Authorities have notified the boy's family and expressed their condolences during this challenging period. The police also cautioned against speculation regarding the incident, clarifying that the boy remains missing, contrary to some unsubstantiated reports.
Swanholme Lakes, a local nature reserve, holds recognition as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The incident occurred during a period of warm weather, with Lincoln experiencing temperatures of around 25C on Sunday.
