
Magnitude 7.3 Earthquake Strikes Mexico Coast, Triggers Local Tsunami Warning
A significant earthquake, measuring magnitude 7.3, struck off the coast of Mexico, initiating a localised tsunami warning. The United States Tsunami Warning Center confirmed the seismic event and subsequently issued the alert for the immediate area.
Following the tremor, waves reaching 0.3 metres (approximately 1.1 feet) in height were observed in the Mexican coastal towns of Puerto Madero and Chiapas. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely.
