
Man Charged Over Fatal Shooting of Baby in New York
Amuri Greene, 21, faces three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder in connection with the death of Kaori Patterson-Moore on 1 April. Mr Greene pleaded not guilty to the charges during his court appearance on Friday, according to CBS News.
Second Suspect Arrested
Police have also apprehended an 18-year-old, Matthew Rodriguez, in Pennsylvania, with charges pending. Authorities allege Mr Greene was the individual who fired the weapon from the back of a motorcycle, which was reportedly driven by Mr Rodriguez.
Surveillance footage reportedly shows two men on a motorcycle travelling against traffic in Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighbourhood before a passenger discharged a firearm. Following the shooting, Mr Greene was reportedly thrown from the vehicle and subsequently taken into police custody after receiving hospital treatment.
Mr Greene also pleaded not guilty to further charges including five counts of criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of attempted criminal possession of a weapon, and two counts of assault.
Family and friends held a candlelight vigil on Friday evening at the scene of the tragic shooting.
