
Man Rearrested as Joanne Sheen Remains Found Seven Years After Disappearance
A man has been rearrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of human remains identified as Joanne Sheen, who disappeared in Fareham, Hampshire, in February 2017. The remains were found in Anstey Park, Alton, on Saturday, prompting a new phase in the investigation.
Hampshire Constabulary confirmed the identification of Ms Sheen, a mother-of-three, on Monday. A 52-year-old man, previously arrested in connection with her disappearance, was rearrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody for questioning. Authorities state the discovery came as a result of new information received by the police.
Detective Chief Inspector Alex Danson of Hampshire Constabulary stated the force's thoughts are with Ms Sheen's family during this difficult time. She confirmed that specialist officers are providing support to the family as the investigation into her death continues.
