Massachusetts Woman Dawn Light Charged with Juror Intimidation at Lindsay Clancy Trial

A Massachusetts woman, Dawn Light, has been charged with juror intimidation and witness intimidation in connection with the high-profile Lindsay Clancy murder trial. Ms Light, aged 32, from Falmouth, allegedly took photographs of jurors as they exited the Plymouth County Superior Court on Tuesday, 14th May. These actions are strictly prohibited by court rules.

Ms Light pleaded not guilty to the charges during her arraignment on Wednesday and was subsequently released on bail set at $500. Her next court appearance is scheduled for 25th June. A judge in the case, Justice William Sullivan, had previously issued a specific order forbidding the photography of jurors, reinforcing the serious nature of the alleged offence.

The Lindsay Clancy trial concerns accusations that Ms Clancy, a former nurse, murdered her three young children in Duxbury in January 2023. The defence argues Ms Clancy was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis at the time, while the prosecution contends she was legally sane and responsible for her actions. The jury in the trial is currently deliberating its verdict, and incidents like this have the potential to compromise the integrity of the proceedings.
