Newport Police Shoot Man Reportedly Armed With Crossbow After Threatening Behaviour Call

A man was shot by Gwent Police in Newport on Friday night after officers responded to reports of threatening behaviour. Police units were dispatched to an address in the Brynglas Road area of the city, where the incident unfolded.

Upon arrival, officers encountered a man believed to be in possession of a crossbow. Following the shooting, paramedics administered immediate medical care at the scene. The individual's condition has not been publicly disclosed.
